Bill Cheatham for Easy Guitar Fingerstyle

Bill Cheatham for Easy Guitar Fingerstyle

That's Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Cheatham. There is a tune called Frank Cheatham. B.F. Cheatham had a cousin, William Archer Cheatham. Kirk McGee played both tunes, Bill Cheatham, and Frank Cheatham, which he said was "Bill Cheatham's brother". Maybe this was a joke. Although they were both Tennesseans B.F. and W.A. Cheatham were not brothers, and they were from different regions of the state.

The earliest recording of this song is from 1901, and it has remained a favorite every since.

Instructor Tim Crosby shows beginning flat pickers how to play this song along with the transcribed sheet music for easy guitar.
